“Visibility is merely the first step to recognition,
which in turn, has very little do to with equity.
Equity demands structural and lasting transformations in society.”
Arlene Davila, Professor of Anthropology and American Studies, New York University
Mission
As a young cultural entrepreneur of Latino descent living in New York City, I recognized the lack of visibility afforded to Latinx artists at art galleries and cultural institutions.
Realizing the need for a more equitable representation in the marketplace, I founded Latinx.art, an independent platform that expands the visibility and commercial success of US based Latino artists. Our mission is to promote Latinx artists and their work to a growing network of contemporary collectors, Latino Executives, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in leading companies in the US.
Latinx. art aims to empower diverse Hispanic communities through cultural awareness and social engagement.

LatinX Art
Who they are
Contemporary artists of Latino descent who have been traditionally marginalized and underrepresented by cultural institutions and the marketplace in the United States.
Visibility
Underrepresented LatinX artists—those with limited opportunities to exhibit & promote their work—lack the most important asset in the art world: visibility.
Community
Building a sense of community is essential for developing an inclusive art market and a stronger sense of identity.
Marketplace
Current market dynamics obstruct the commercial success of Latinx artists making it nearly impossible for them to enter the networks in which to sell their work.
